Special hotel recommendation

The Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of the island’s nine directional temples, which is positioned on a steep cliff 200 feet above the Indian Ocean. This awe-inspiring temple complex is well worth the visit. The best time to visit is at dusk, as you can witness the traditional kecak fire dance.

The cosy village of Coconut Grove has one of the most spectacular sea views in Jimbaran Bay. Here you can try one of the many water sports which are available in the area. The gentle waves are ideal for beginner surfers, while kayakers and sailors can enjoy clear waters.

If you’re more interested in land activities, trek to the summit of the Mount Batur volcano and catch one of the most impressive sunrises you will ever see.

There is an abundance of villages and galleries nearby, not to mention the thriving nightlife of the Seminyak neighbourhood.
